Playing with Watercolors

I recently took a class in watercolors and loved learning about a new medium and techniques about painting.  The majority of my paintings have been controlled, blended and saturated so it feels fabulous to let the water do the work and let loose.  There’s such a wonderful freedom that comes with watercolors and I hope to explore the medium more often.

I completed this little piece today. The color was inspired by my own teal rotary phone that I discovered at a thrift store last summer.

Kid’s Furniture

During DecemberI had the opportunity to paint a set of kid’s furniture.  I had a great time painting, designing and recreating this art table.  The tins in the center of the table are removable and the entire set is coated in a clear sealant.
